Traditional rich fruitcake, made to my own special recipe which the fruit
is soaked brandy or sherry for at least three days to produce a very moist
cake, coated in a generous layer of marzipan then the cake is then covered
in sugarpaste.
Tropical Fruitcake
Twist on the fruit cake with a tropical fruit cake with dried fruits such as
papaya and pineapple being soaked in Malibu or white rum with brazil
and macadamia nuts which is delicious.
Madeira Cake
A classic cake with a subtle flavour and close texture. Very popular as a
replacement for richfruitcake, if you don't like fruitcake! Layered with
jam and butter icing.
Chocolate Cake
Rich, moist and very chocolaty! This cake is made with Belgian couverture
chocolate, the cake maybe laced with Cointreau or a liqueur of your choice.
Filled with a rich chocolate filling, the cake is then thinly covered in marzipan
then topped with sugarpaste or chocolate. Chocolate Wedding cakes
are becoming increasingly popular, and may be used as the dessert at the
wedding feast.
Carrot Cake
A delicious alternative to the more traditional cakes. Can be made with or
without the addition of chopped walnuts, and layered with butter icing
or cream cheese.
Orange & Lemon Cake
Made with the freshly grated zest of oranges and lemons. With lemon
curd making an excellent choice for layering.
Banana Cake
Mashed bananas used to make a really moist cake layered with
butter icing.
Banoffee Cake A variation of banana cake by using a layer of homemade caramel.
Bailey’s Cake
For a really indulgent cake, Bailey’s is the perfect choice. With a rich
Bailey’s butter cream layered inside.
